Job summary

Lift Schools invites aspiring maths teachers to join its school-based Initial Teacher Training programme, an Apprenticeship that earns while you learn and leads to PGCE and QTS. As a Trainee Maths Teacher, you will gain practical classroom experience under expert mentors, complete a Level 6 Apprenticeship, and progress through weekly training sessions across Lift Schools and Ark Teacher Training networks.

Summer School dates and formal eligibility requirements are outlined in the programme

Qualifications

Degree: 2:2 classification or above by start of the programme; Maths/ STEM preferred.
GCSEs: Grade 4/C or above in English & Maths (or equivalent).
Right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the training year.
Must not currently hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Responsibilities

Gain practical classroom experience as a trainee Maths teacher.
Receive ongoing mentoring, coaching, and feedback from your tutor and in‑school coach.
Attend weekly training sessions across Lift Schools and Ark Teacher Training networks.
Complete the PGCE and Z QTS through the Apprenticeship route.
