Job summary

Lift Schools is launching a school-based Initial Teacher Training programme to train aspiring English teachers. This apprenticeship route lets you earn while you learn and progress toward a PGCE and QTS, with strong mentoring and practical classroom experience across our network.

The role is a 1-year full-time programme, starting with two weeks of Summer School, and includes a dedicated tutor and in-school coach to guide your development and progression within the Lift Schools system.

Qualifications

• A undergraduate degree with a 2:2 or above by the start of the programme.
• Degree in English is preferred.
• Right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the training year.
• Teaching status: must not currently hold QTS.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of your time gaining practical classroom experience.
• Benefit from in-school mentoring and weekly feedback from experienced teachers.
• Graduate with PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through the programme.
