Qualifications

• Academic degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, artificial intelligence or a closely related discipline.
• PhD welcome, but not essential - expertise and capability matter most
• Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
• Meticulous attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to work independently
• Motivated to develop your networking skills and contribute to business development.

Trainee Patent Attorney - Software/AI - Leeds | Full-Time | Permanent | Hybrid | Start date: September 2027

We are looking for a trainee patent attorney to join our Leeds team and focus on software, artificial intelligence and computing inventions. The role will include hands‑on work from day one with regular client and inventor contact. You will have the opportunity to work at the cutting edge of machine learning, data processing and computer‑implemented inventions, with scope to move into telecoms and medical technologies. This is hands‑on, high‑impact work for market‑leading tech clients.
