Job summary

Specsavers in Newton Mearns is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Trainee Optical Assistant. Previous optical experience is helpful but not required, as full training is provided.

As a Trainee Optical Assistant, you’ll use your passion for the Specsavers brand, products and services alongside your incredible customer service skills, to create an outstanding store environment for both our customers and our team. We'd love for the right candidate to join us and progress into a long term career in optics.

Our Store

Based in The Avenue shopping centre, Newton Mearns, G77 6AA, around 7 miles from Glasgow, we are close to excellent bus links, as well as nearby parking. We are a busy and vibrant store with an experienced team. We are a 3 test room practice and a hear care hub. We have a friendly and professional team of 25 plus all the equipment you need to ensure you can do your job to the best of your abilities. As well as all the support you need and great training and development opportunities, we have a whole load of benefits on offer for you to enjoy. These include:
