Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is recruiting a registered nurse to join the gynaecology team as a Trainee Nurse Hysteroscopist on a full-time permanent basis. The post offers a structured training programme with academic study, supervised clinical practice and competency assessment, supported by experienced nurse hysteroscopists and the wider MDT.

Qualifications

• RN qualification with current NMC registration.
• Degree in nursing or health-related subject.
• Two years' experience in Gynaecology.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.

Responsabilités

• Undertake a structured programme of academic study, supervised clinical practice and competency assessment to develop knowledge and skills required to practise as a nurse hysteroscopist.
• Work under appropriate supervision to assess patients referred to the outpatient hysteroscopy service, review relevant clinical information and contribute to safe, individualised plans of care.
• Develop competence in diagnostic hysteroscopy and associated procedures within the agreed scope of practice, local policies and professional standards.
• Recognise and respond appropriately to clinical concerns, safeguarding issues or findings requiring escalation to senior nursing or medical colleagues.
• Maintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical records and ensure appropriate communication of findings, outcomes and follow-up arrangements.
• Work collaboratively with nurse hysteroscopists, medical staff, nursing colleagues, support workers and administrative teams to promote effective clinic flow, timely access and continuity of care.
• Adhere to requirements relating to infection prevention, medicines management, health and safety, information governance, clinical risk and incident reporting.
• Following completion of the required training and formal sign-off of competencies, undertake independent nurse hysteroscopy practice in accordance with local governance arrangements and the responsibilities of the substantive role.
