University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust in Coventry is seeking a motivated registered nurse to join the Colposcopy Service as a Trainee Nurse Colposcopist. This developmental role offers a structured training pathway toward BSCCP accreditation and potential progression to Band 7 within 12-18 months.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care for women undergoing colposcopy, with immunisation checks and extensive training, including

• Current registered nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Structured training pathway leading to BSCCP accreditation.
• Commitment to women’s health and patient-centred care.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilidades

• To provide day to day support to all levels of staff and patients within the Colposcopy/ Vulvoscopy clinics at UHCW and Rugby St Cross
• Availability for all scheduled training sessions to ensure training is achievable within the allocated time frame training typically takes between 12 to 18 months
• Nurse Colposcopy training is extremely intense, and the successful candidate will work alongside the Trained Colposcopist to ensure the required level of detail; once qualified, diagnose and treat cervical and vulval cancer within BSCCP guidelines
• To be proactive in all areas of colposcopy training e.g. manage own logbook and online training and preparation for formal BSCCP OSCE assessment
• The post holder will be expected to pass examinations both written and practical throughout the training
• To participate in 3 monthly training assessments specific to colposcopy/ vulvoscopy
• Once qualified the post holder will help manage the department and train other members of the team and ensure practice remains research based
• Attend all mandatory training
