Staff Nurse opportunity at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust in the Gynaecology Outpatients team, focusing on colposcopy support. You will work with colposcopists, nurses and HCAs to deliver safe, compassionate care for women and people with a cervix with anxious screening results.

Full training is provided and there is scope for future progression within this rewarding women’s health service.

Qualifications

• Band 5 Registered Nurse with a focus on colposcopy service.
• Nurse work alongside colposcopists, nurses and healthcare assistants.
• Full training and support provided with scope for progression.

Responsabilités

• Assist the colposcopist during examinations, treatments and biopsies, preparing equipment, solutions and instruments.
• Welcome and prepare patients, explain the procedure clearly and answer questions.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance, acting as chaperone and patient advocate.
• Support informed consent by checking understanding and escalating concerns.
• Handle, label and send histology and cytology specimens accurately.
• Provide aftercare advice and written information about biopsy or treatment outcomes.
