Brownhills Motorhomes Ltd is seeking a Trainee Motorhome Technician in Newark. You will join a busy workshop, supported by experienced technicians, and gain structured on-the-job training to handle electrical, water, gas, heating, and interior systems in modern motorhomes.

No prior motorhome experience is required; a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are essential. A full UK driving licence is required, and there is clear progression into a qualified technician role.

Qualifications

• No motorhome experience required; attitude and potential matter.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience or interest in mechanics, electrics, plumbing, carpentry, or maintenance is not essential but welcome.

Responsibilities

• Develop skills in 12v and 240v electrical systems.
• Learn about water systems, plumbing, and pumps.
• Work with gas appliances and safety procedures.
• Assist with heating systems (Truma, Alde etc.).
• Assist with interior fittings, joinery, and bodywork repairs.
• Support habitation servicing and damp inspections.
• Assist with accessory fitting (solar panels, awnings, etc.).
• Contribute to a varied, hands-on workshop environment.

We're looking for a Trainee Motorhome Technician to join our workshop team and develop into a skilled professional capable of working on some of the most advanced leisure vehicles on the road today.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with mechanical, electrical, or DIY experience—or simply a strong willingness to learn—to train in a varied and rewarding role.

What You'll Be Doing

As a trainee, you'll be supported by experienced technicians and given structured training to develop skills in:

• 12v and 240v electrical systems
• Water systems, plumbing, and pumps
• Gas appliances and safety procedures
• Heating systems (Truma, Alde etc.)
• Interior fittings, joinery, and bodywork repairs
• Habitation servicing and damp inspections
• Accessory fitting (solar panels, awnings, bike racks, reversing cameras, etc.)

No two days are the same—you’ll be working on a huge variety of systems and tasks.
