East Cheshire NHS Trust in Macclesfield is seeking an Assistant/Associate Practitioner in Mammography to join the Cheshire & Stockport Breast Screening Programme. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Practitioner with Level 4 mammography associate qualification or equivalent.

You will need excellent communications skills and a knowledge of the National Health Breast Screening Programme and its aims. Knowledge of the symptomatic breast cancer pathway is also beneficial.

Qualifications

• Foundation Degree in Assisting Professional Practice or equivalent qualification or apprenticeship.
• GCSE Maths and English Grades A-C, 4-9 or Functional Skills Maths level 2, Functional Skills level 2 or equivalent.
• Attendance at study days.

Responsabilités

• Provide a high quality mammography service under supervision of a qualified mammographer.
• Assist Radiologists, Radiographers and other staff in all department areas.
• Work across the Macclesfield Breast Screening Centre and Mobile Van sites with flexible hours.
• Demonstrate prioritisation and safe practice within IRMER guidelines.
