Job summary

East Cheshire NHS Trust is seeking a Trainee Associate Mammographer/Associate Mammographer to join Cheshire & Stockport Breast Screening Programme. The role requires Level 4 mammography associate qualification or equivalent and involves working within the NHSBSP and symptomatic service under supervision.

You will provide high-quality mammography, assist Radiologists and radiographers, and be prepared for flexible hours including evenings and weekends, with travel to Macclesfield and mobile

Qualifications

• Foundation Degree in Assisting Professional Practice or equivalent qualification or apprenticeship.
• GCSE Maths and English Grades A–C or Functional Skills Level 2.
• Attendance at study days.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high quality mammography service under supervision.
• Work within achieved competencies and progress to further competencies.
• Assist Radiologists, Radiographers and other staff in all department areas.
• Screening and symptomatic services at Macclesfield Breast Screening Centre and mobile sites.
• Travel to Macclesfield and Mobile Van sites; flexible evening/weekend clinics.
