Job summary

East Cheshire NHS Trust is recruiting for a Trainee Associate Mammographer or Associate Mammographer within the Cheshire & Stockport Breast Screening Programme. You will perform mammography under supervision while building towards further competencies, including travel to mobile screening sites.

The role involves evening and weekend clinics and work across multiple sites, with support to achieve professional progression in a regulated clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Foundation Degree in Assisting Professional Practice or equivalent.
• Mammography Associate apprenticeship at Level 4.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality mammography service under NHSBSP and symptomatic service, supervised by a qualified mammographer.
• Work within competencies to agreed protocols and progress towards further competencies.
• Assist radiologists, radiographers and other staff in all department areas.
• Offer flexible service, including evenings and weekends at the breast screening centre and on mobile sites.
• Travel between sites including mobile screening in Stockport.
