Job summary

Oakminster Healthcare Group in Glasgow is seeking a Trainee Maintenance Officer to support day-to-day maintenance of the care home, grounds and facilities, ensuring safety and smooth operation for residents and staff.

You will work under supervision on plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical tasks, learn safety procedures, and contribute to a friendly, well‑maintained environment with 28 days holiday and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• General maintenance/DIY experience required.
• Experience with minor repair work preferred.
• Care home environment experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Support experienced maintenance staff with day-to-day repairs.
• Carry out basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, or electrical tasks under supervision.
• Follow standard operating procedures for routine maintenance.
• Learn how to use tools and safety procedures.
