Job summary

Rainham Steel Co Ltd in Scunthorpe is seeking a Trainee Machine Operator to join the production team. You will operate cutting and bending rebar machines, perform quality checks and assemble bundles, while maintaining safety and a tidy workspace.

Full-time, 42.5 hours per week, with paid overtime as required. The role offers a structured training program with no prior experience required, mentoring from skilled colleagues, and opportunities for promotion and career development within a dynamic

Qualifications

Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physically able to cope with reasonable manual handling.
Organised, motivated and reliable with excellent timekeeping.
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, pressurised environment.

Responsibilities

Operate cutting and bending rebar machines safely and effectively.
Produce different shapes of rebar to specification and quality check finished products.
Assemble and prepare bundles for packing.
Maintain a tidy and safe working environment.
Work flexibly to accommodate paid overtime when needed.
