Job summary

Rainham Steel Co Ltd in Scunthorpe is recruiting a Trainee Machine Operator to join the production team. You will operate cutting and bending rebar machines, perform quality checks on finished products and assemble bundles for packing. The role offers paid overtime when required and a structured training program.

Qualifications

Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physically able to cope with reasonable manual handling.
Organised, motivated and reliable with excellent timekeeping.
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, pressurised environment.
Ability to communicate effectively in English for health and safety and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

Operate cutting and bending rebar machines safely and effectively
Produce different shapes of rebar to specification and quality check finished products
Assemble and prepare bundles for packing
Maintain a tidy and safe working environment
Work flexibly to accommodate paid overtime when needed
