Job summary

Pertemps is seeking a Trainee / Assistant Mechanical Building Services Engineer in Surrey. The role is office-based with site visits across London and the South East. You will gain hands-on experience across design, estimating, procurement and project delivery, under mentorship from senior engineers.

A clear career pathway leads toward full project management and beyond. Initial training will cover all mechanical disciplines, with opportunities for long-term progression.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree (BEng/BSc/HND) or equivalent
• Ambitious, eager to learn and transition into project management
• Interest in building services, HVAC, plumbing, and BMS

Responsibilities

• Work alongside senior engineers to gain hands-on experience across design, estimating, procurement and project delivery
• Progress to own projects from concept through to commissioning and hand-over
