This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who has a genuine interest in technology and wants to gain hands‑on IT experience. You may have recently completed A Levels, college or an IT-related course, or simply have a strong interest in computers and technology.

Previous commercial IT experience is not required – full training will be provided.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and configuring laptops and other IT equipment
  • Installing and setting up Windows devices
  • Pre-staging laptops and mobile devices ready for deployment
  • Preparing equipment for new starters each month
  • Creating and setting up user accounts
  • Setting up MFA and security access across laptops and mobile devices
  • Installing applications and completing initial device configuration
  • Managing equipment for joiners, movers and leavers
  • Supporting laptop and mobile device handovers
  • Deploying equipment to users in classroom‑style sessions and remotely
  • Keeping equipment and asset information organised and up to date
  • Working closely with the wider IT support team
What We’re Looking For

We’re not expecting you to know everything – we’re looking for someone with the right attitude and a genuine desire to learn.

You’ll ideally have:

  • A genuine interest in IT, computers and technology
  • A Levels, college qualifications or similar – ideally including an IT/computing-related subject
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Confidence dealing with users and explaining things clearly
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in
  • Good attention to detail
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
  • A proactive, self‑starting approach
  • The ability to stay organised and work effectively in a busy, sometimes pressured environment
  • A real desire to learn and develop a long‑term career within IT
Training & Development

This is a genuine career‑entry opportunity where you will be taught the technical skills you need to succeed.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience working with real users, devices and IT systems, with opportunities to undertake IT training and industry certifications as you develop.

For someone hardworking, enthusiastic and keen to learn, this is an excellent first step into IT with the opportunity to build strong technical foundations and progress into a wider IT support career
