Tom Orange Recruitment Ltd is assisting a Wellingborough-based client to recruit Trainee Car Transporter Drivers, offering a doorway into a rewarding career in vehicle logistics.

You will receive full training to safely load, secure and transport cars on modern vehicles, deliver to dealerships and customers nationwide, and perform inspections and paperwork with a strong emphasis on road safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence required.
• Driver CPC and tachograph knowledge expected.
• Strong safety and customer-service focus required.

The Role

As a Trainee Car Transporter Driver, you will learn to:

• Safely load, secure, and transport cars on modern vehicle transporters.


• Deliver vehicles to dealerships, fleet operators, auction sites, and customers nationwide.


• Conduct vehicle inspections and complete delivery paperwork.


• Maintain the highest standards of road safety, vehicle care, and customer service.


• Plan routes effectively and comply with drivers' hours and road transport regulations.

What We're Looking For

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence. Min held for 3 years


• Ideally recent Tramping experience 6 months.


• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.


• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.


• Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness.


• Good communication and customer service skills.


• Flexibility to work nationwide and 4 nights away each week Mon - Thurs
