Job summary

Tom Orange Recruitment Ltd in partnership with a Wellingborough-based client is recruiting Trainee Car Transporter Drivers. You will receive full training to load, secure, and transport cars on modern transporters, with opportunities for overtime and progression.

Full training provided, with realistic earnings up to £65k per year once trained. The role requires being away 4 nights a week, flexible nationwide work, and a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with minimum 3 years held.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Willingness to travel nationwide; 4 nights away each week Mon–Thu.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, secure, and transport cars on modern vehicle transporters.
• Deliver vehicles to dealerships, fleet operators, auction sites, and customers nationwide.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and complete delivery paperwork.
• Maintain high road safety, vehicle care, and customer service.
• Plan routes and comply with drivers' hours and road transport regulations.

The Role

As a Trainee Car Transporter Driver, you will learn to:

• Safely load, secure, and transport cars on modern vehicle transporters.

• Maintain the highest standards of road safety, vehicle care, and customer service.

What We're Looking For

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence. Min held for 3 years


• Ideally recent Tramping experience 6 months.


• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.


• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.


• Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness.


• Good communication and customer service skills.


• Flexibility to work nationwide and 4 nights away each week Mon - Thurs
