Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking motivated healthcare professionals to join as Trainee Emergency Care Practitioners within the Urgent and Emergency Care service. The role is fast-paced and independent, handling minor illnesses and injuries with strong clinical reasoning and decision-making.

The post holder will train to become a qualified EP, working across Minor Injury Units and Urgent Treatment Centres, receiving annual teaching and rotating across two sites,

Qualifications

• Excellent clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• The post holder will work as a trainee ECP within a busy Minor Injury and Illness Unit and Urgent Treatment Centre seeing, treating, and independently discharging patients as required.
• Work with Senior EP colleagues to deliver a high quality, effective and sustainable service.
• Undertake a training post and complete a Minor Injury and Minor Illness University course with an EP portfolio toward becoming a qualified EP.
• Work in partnership with a multi-disciplinary team; teaching and education programme for the EP is provided annually; rotation across two sites.
