Job summary

TSG UK Solutions Ltd invites applications for a Trainee Electronic Lab Technician in Longforgan, Perth and Kinross. You will test and repair lab items to meet customer SLAs, with a solid electronics foundation and a willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities include fault finding on repairable items, working with multiple departments to hit deadlines, maintaining stock levels, keeping the lab safe, and supporting warehouse duties. A proactive, detail‑oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience fault finding to component level.
• Computer hardware and software skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.

• Work well under pressure and can prioritise workload.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in loading firmware, software & OS to hard drives, SSDs & IC chips.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and repair of items deemed repairable by the business—e.g., dispenser control boards, desktop PC motherboards, payment terminals & tools for field technicians.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet project deadlines and SLAs.
• Use stock management system to maintain optimal stock levels on repairable items.
• Maintain a tidy and safe lab environment.
• Handle warehouse and stock control responsibilities.
• Identify breakdown trends and enable field engineers to resolve issues.
• Track no Fault Found repairs and create reports for field teams.
• Perform other duties as deemed by Management.

Trainee Electronic Lab Technician TSG UK Solutions Ltd•Longforgan, Perth and Kinross, GB

In this exciting new opportunity based at our Longforgan office, you will play a crucial role in meeting TSG UK business requirements by accurately testing and repairing lab repairable items to ensure we consistently meet customer SLAs. This role requires a strong foundation in electronics, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn new skills!

Key Responsibilities:

• Fault finding and repair of items deemed repairable by the business this can include dispenser control boards; desktop computer motherboards; payment terminals & tools for field technicians
• Working with other departments to ensure project deadlines & SLAs can be met where the lab plays a key role in stock availability.
• Using our stock management system to ensure stock levels on repairable items are kept at optimum levels
• Maintain a tidy and safe lab environment
• Warehouse and stock control responsibilities
• Identify breakdown trends and where applicable implement processes to allow field engineers to resolve the issues
• Track no Fault Found repairs, creating reports that can be used by field team(s) to re-educate and/or upskill team members
• any other duties as deemed appropriate by Management
