Job summary

TSG UK is hiring for a lab technician role based at Longforgan. You will test and repair repairable lab items to meet customer SLAs, working from our Longforgan office with a focus on electronics and firmware loading.

The role requires attention to detail, strong electronics knowledge, and a willingness to learn new skills. You will also help maintain stock levels and ensure safe lab practices in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience fault finding to component level.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in loading firmware, software & operating systems to hard drives, SSDs & IC chips.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and repair of items deemed repairable by the business (e.g., dispenser control boards, desktop PC motherboards, payment terminals and tools for field technicians).
• Collaborate with other departments to meet project deadlines and SLAs where the lab plays a key role in stock availability.
• Use stock management system to keep stock levels of repairable items at optimum levels.
• Maintain a tidy and safe lab environment.
• Handle warehousing and stock control responsibilities.
• Identify breakdown trends and implement processes to assist field engineers.
• Track no-fault-found repairs and produce reports for re-education/upskilling of team members.
• Perform other duties as required by Management.
