Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a motivated Trainee Electro/Mechanical Assembler to join our Surrey production team. The role offers full training, hands‑on experience and clear progression into skilled engineering.

You will learn to assemble, test and inspect electro/mechanical components, using a range of tools and fixtures. We value a practical, detail‑oriented mindset and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • No prior experience required; full training provided.
  • Candidates from practical backgrounds such as manufacturing, automotive or hands‑on trades are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electro/mechanical components using drawings and work instructions.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools and fixtures safely and correctly.
  • Test and inspect assemblies following procedures and jigs.
  • Support production targets while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Adhere to engineering specifications, ISO standards and ESD controls.

Are you practical, hands‑on and eager to learn new technical skills?

We are looking for a motivated Trainee Electro/Mechanical Assembler to join a busy production environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn, with full training provided.

You will work as part of an experienced assembly team, developing skills in mechanical and electro/mechanical assembly, testing and quality control. This role offers excellent opportunities to progress your career within engineering and manufacturing.

The Role

As a Trainee Electro/Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for:

  • Assembling mechanical and electro/mechanical components using drawings, procedures and work instructions.
  • Using hand tools, power tools, torque tools and assembly fixtures safely and correctly.
  • Carrying out testing and inspection of assemblies using procedures, jigs and fixtures.
  • Supporting production targets while maintaining excellent quality standards.
  • Following engineering specifications and customer requirements.
  • Working to company quality procedures, ISO standards and ESD controls.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Supporting wider production activities when required.
  • Learning new assembly, testing and technical skills through full training.
