Job summary

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) to join the Oxfordshire Mental Health Support Teams. The post focuses on delivering evidence-based interventions for children and young people in education settings and supporting schools with whole-school mental health approaches.

Qualifications

Understanding of MHSTs and their role in schools.
Experience of working within a CAMHS structure.
Knowledge of multi-agency working to support schools.

Responsibilities

Delivering evidence-based intervention for children and young people in education settings.
Supporting schools with their whole school approach to mental health e.g. assemblies, workshops.
Supporting/facilitating staff in education settings to identify and, where appropriate, manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.
Helping children and young people within these settings who present with more severe problems to access more specialist services.
