Zusammenfassung

The Forward Trust in Hull is seeking a dedicated Trainee Drug and Alcohol Practitioner for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will gain hands-on experience, structured training, mentoring and supervision to progress toward a nationally recognised qualification.

You will shadow experienced staff, split time between practical work and study, undertake compulsory therapy, and contribute to multidisciplinary care to support service users on their recovery journey.

Qualifikationen

• A commitment to learning and development: You must be willing to work towards completing a nationally recognised qualification, subject to the relevant criteria.
• Understanding of recovery: You should understand the needs of vulnerable adults who are in recovery and may have experience of offending or homelessness.
• Personal recovery commitment (if applicable): If you are in recovery from addiction, you must have maintained abstinence from all substances for over two years and be committed to maintaining your recovery.
• Organisation and time management: You will be able to manage your workload effectively, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines and targets.

Aufgaben

• Supporting the planning and management of a caseload, ensuring work is organised effectively and completed within agreed deadlines.
• Assisting with initial, risk and comprehensive assessments to identify individual needs and inform appropriate treatment plans and interventions.
• Supporting service users to develop recovery plans that reflect their needs and goals.
• Reviewing ongoing care and treatment, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and other agencies.
• Co-facilitating groups, programmes and interventions, including one-to-one sessions, in line with required standards.
• Contributing to effective multidisciplinary and integrated working to support positive outcomes for service users.
• Developing skills in data collection and recording to support audit, research and reporting requirements.
• Developing the competencies required to undertake the second signatory process.
• Carrying out other reasonable duties as directed by your line manager.
