Job summary

The Sofa Delivery Company, part of the DFS Group, is hiring a Trainee Driver to start a coaching pathway into a 7.5T Driver role. You will train in-house for 12 weeks, deliver furniture to customers’ homes, and progress with support for training, medicals, and tests.

The 4-on, 4-off shift pattern runs 7am–7pm, with opportunities for a pay increase after qualification. You’ll build strong customer relationships, manage pre-delivery updates, and work with a friendly team to uphold service

Qualifications

• Good communication with customers and colleagues.
• Strong time management to meet delivery windows.
• Friendly, helpful attitude with a focus on safety.
• Experience delivering or installing is a plus but not required.
• Able to work as part of a team and take feedback.

Responsibilities

• Delivering furniture safely to customers’ homes.
• Keep customers updated with pre-delivery communication.
• Ensure delivery to the room of choice and remove rubbish.
• Work with team and senior managers to improve service.
• Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values with clients.
