Job summary

The Sofa Delivery Company in Doncaster, United Kingdom, is seeking a Trainee 7.5T Delivery & Installation Driver. You’ll join our in-house Driving School and spend 12 weeks driving a 3.5-ton van as you prepare to upgrade to a 7.5-ton licence, with training and medical assessments covered.

After training, you’ll transition to a 7.5T Driver role with pay progression, working a 4-on, 4-off pattern from 7am to 7pm and delivering furniture safely to customers’ homes.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer.
• At least 2 years of driving experience, with no drink/drug driving convictions.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Delivering furniture safely and professionally to customers’ homes.
• Keeping customers informed with pre-delivery communication.
• Ensuring delivery to the room of choice and leaving no rubbish behind.
• Working with team and managers to improve service standards.
• Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values in all activities.
