Job summary

At The Sofa Delivery Company, part of the DFS group, we’re launching a Driving School programme for new drivers. During the first 12 weeks you’ll operate a 3.5-ton van as we prepare you to upgrade to a 7.5-ton licence.

We cover training costs and medicals, offer time off for Theory and Hazard tests, and promote you to a 7.5T Driver after successful completion, with a pay rise. The 4-on, 4-off shifts run 7am–7pm, giving you time to enjoy life outside work.

Qualifications

• A valid UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer.
• At least 2 years of driving experience.
• Willingness to learn and develop driving skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering furniture safely and professionally to customers' homes.
• Keeping customers informed with pre-delivery updates.
• Ensure delivery to the room of choice and leave no rubbish behind.
• Work with your team and managers to improve service standards.
• Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values in all actions.
• Comply with driving laws and company policies.
