Job summary

Boots UK in the United Kingdom is offering a Trainee Dispenser position in-store to support the pharmacy team and help deliver safe, effective pharmacy and healthcare services.

Training starts immediately with the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme; no previous experience is required. You will learn dispensing, patient care, and how to work with the pharmacist, while advancing your career within Boots.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines (e.g. ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions).
• Work with other healthcare professionals in-store to assist in the delivery of pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
• Opportunity to train as Pharmacy Technician or as part of the store leadership team.
