Job summary

Boots is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our in-store pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and healthcare professionals to safely dispense prescriptions and deliver patient care. You will train towards NVQ2 while building relationships with customers in the store.

This role is based in-store in the UK. No prior experience required; full training provided. You will learn dispensing, patient advice, and inventory tasks, with a path to Pharmacy Technician or leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Complete training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe supply of medicines.
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Help manage repeats and support adherence to medicines.
