Job summary

Boots is hiring a Trainee Dispenser to join our in-store Pharmacy team in the UK. You’ll support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals, dispensing prescriptions and advising patients while you complete your NVQ2 Dispenser training.

No previous experience is required as full training is provided, and you will develop relationships with patients, benefiting from a structured progression path within Boots.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2)
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines
• Work with other healthcare professionals to assist in managing and delivering pharmacy services
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions
• Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence
