Job summary

Boots is recruiting a Trainee Dispenser to join our store-based pharmacy team. You will support the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals, helping ensure safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy services while you train for the NVQ2 Dispenser programme.

No prior experience required; full training provided. You will dispense prescriptions, greet customers, advise on medicines, and maintain safe sale of medicines in line with SOPs.

Qualifications

Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
No previous experience is required. Full training provided.

Responsibilities

Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collection).
Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
Keep up to date with innovations and comply with processes.
Support patients to manage their prescriptions and ensure adherence.
