Job summary

Boots in the United Kingdom is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to support the pharmacy team. You will train on the NVQ2 programme while dispensing prescriptions and advising patients in-store. Full training is provided and no prior experience is required.

You will work within the UK store environment to ensure safe, compliant dispensing and patient care, with opportunities for career development including technician training in the future.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
• Collaborate with store healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with processes.
• Help patients manage their prescriptions and improve adherence.
