Job summary

Travail Employment Group is recruiting a Trainee Design Engineer for a world-renowned manufacturing company in Gloucester. The role offers a permanent contract with a salary of £28,000–£35,000 plus benefits.

The successful candidate will create manufacturing and design drawings, prepare material lists, and manage projects from concept to production while liaising with customers and suppliers in the UK and overseas.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering is useful but not required if candidate has strong design experience.
• Strong design background with experience in drawing processes and manufacturing context.
• Knowledge of quality standards and manufacturing processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing and design drawings for existing and bespoke projects.
• Prepare drawings and designs to support sales and manufacturing processes.
• Provide material lists for production.
• Manage projects and designs from concept to production.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers domestically and overseas.
