Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Graduate Design Engineer for a well-established Salisbury manufacturer. You will join the design and development team, creating 3D modelling drawings and ensuring manufacturability.

Responsibilities include supporting prototype builds, conducting engineering reviews to hit milestones, liaising with suppliers, and producing cost estimates. Degree in engineering/design required; solid CAD skills (Solidworks or Catia) preferred; commutable to Salisbury.

Qualifications

• Engineering/Design degree required.
• Based within commutable distance of Salisbury.
• Proficient in CAD with Solidworks or Catia.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D modelling drawings for Jig & Tooling design.
• Ensure design work is manufacturable.
• Support prototype builds and DFM.
• Conduct regular engineering reviews to meet milestones.

Position Overview

Graduate Design Engineer required. Our client is a well‑established and growing manufacturer based in Salisbury. Due to ongoing success, they are seeking a Graduate Engineer to join their design & development team.

• Creating 3D modelling drawings for Jig & Tooling design
• Ensuring design work undertaken is feasible for manufacture
• Supporting prototype builds and DFM
• Conduct regular engineering reviews to ensure project milestones are achieved
• Liaising with suppliers of parts and tooling
• Producing cost estimates

Requirements

• Degree qualified within an Engineering / Design related subject
• Based in a commutable distance of Salisbury
• Proficient with the use of CAD software such as Solidworks or Catia
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods such as sheet metal fabrication, welding, metal pressing and robotics

Remuneration

• Salary £26,000 – £30,000, depending on experience
• Monday to Friday. Full-time, permanent position
• Holiday allowance and pension
