Job summary

Maritime Transport Ltd. is seeking a Trainee Container Control Clerk for our London Gateway Depot. You will record container movements, manage stock levels and liaise between the depot, offices, customers, and suppliers.

The role offers exposure to gate control, invoicing, and daily reporting to MSC Geneva and UK Management. Ideal candidates will have strong numeracy, attention to detail, and proficient IT skills with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy, literacy and IT skills including Outlook and Excel.
• Professional manner at all times.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing workloads.
• Accurate data entry and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company health and safety policies.
• Control of access and exit gates liaising with HGV drivers booking in and out of the depot.
• Record all equipment received and dispatched.
• Control of all container stocks and stock levels within the depot to meet the demands of the business.
• Input of container repair estimates, monitoring authorizations and updating repair records.
• Checking and processing of incoming/outgoing invoices.
• Monthly accounts check ensuring all data is processed and submitted accurately.
• Issue and reconcile depot equipment release via internal / external systems.
• Accurate & timely preparation of daily/weekly reports for MSC Geneva and UK Management.
