Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Customer Side Leakage Reduction Trainee Technician to join the Demand Management team. You will take end-to-end ownership of the customer journey, liaising with customers to resolve leakage on private pipework and using innovative detection technology to drive timely solutions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent face-to-face customer service, owning problems through to resolution.
• Detect and investigate customer side leakage to meet performance targets.
• Promote and validate repair work with service partners to ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Carry out accurate surveys and support legal enforcement processes (s.75).
• Use advanced leakage detection equipment and corporate systems (e.g., Temetra, Netbase).
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive efficiency and innovation.
• Maintain the highest standards of health and safety and customer experience.

Location: Area to cover Central East, mainly around Goole, Selby and Hull.

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

This is a hands-on role where youll combine technical skills, problem-solving, and customer engagement to make a real impact.
