Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths, English and a Science.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience of working to tight deadlines.
• Good understanding of Data Protection Act.
• Experience using an NHS Trust Patient Administration System.
• Three A Levels or equivalent.
• National Clinical Coding Standards Foundation Course pass in all modules.
• Experience translating medical information into code.
• Experience in an administration role.

Responsabilités

• Analyse medical and interventional terminology and translate it into nationally and internationally recognised codes.
• Code accurately and in a timely manner to meet Trust deadlines and manage daily workload.
• Attend training and participate in updates to maintain and improve coding skills.
• Analyse reports to locate missing or uncoded spells throughout the Trust.
