Job summary

Red Dot Search UK Limited in Bolton is recruiting for a Trainee Claims Handler. You will start as a Customer Service Advisor, receive comprehensive training, and grow into a full Claims Handler for household claims from notification to settlement.

No prior insurance experience is required; a solid customer service background and willingness to learn are key. On-site role with clear career progression and funded qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months in a customer service role.
• Confident, professional telephone manner.
• Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
• Organised and able to juggle multiple tasks.
• Competent across different computer systems.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.

Responsibilities

• Take first notification of loss calls from policyholders.
• Assess policy cover and validate claims (full training provided).
• Gather documents and details to progress each claim.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers.
• Manage your own caseload from first notification to settlement.
• Keep customers updated and resolve queries as they arise.
