Job summary

Cambian Group in Birmingham is seeking a Trainee Childrens Registered Manager. You will work closely with senior managers, staying hands-on with the young people while learning the ropes to progress into a Registered Manager role.

Youll gain mentoring and funded Level 5 leadership training, with a clear progression path and ongoing support within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in residential care for children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
• Level 3 in Childrens Residential Care is essential; Level 5 in Leadership and Management funded.
• Knowledge of Ofsted and residential childcare regulations
• Full UK driving license.

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the home.
• Helping lead and motivate the team.
• Creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for young people.
• Supporting care planning and safeguarding.

What the Role Looks Like

You’ll work closely with the Assistant Regional Manager, an experienced Registered Manager, learning the ins and outs of running a successful children’s home while still staying hands-on with the young people and team.

No being stuck behind a desk all day - we want someone who enjoys building relationships, creating positive experiences for young people, and leading a team that genuinely cares.

You’ll be involved in:

Essential Requirements and Experience

• Relevant Experience: At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
• Qualifications: Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential. We will fund and guide you through Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
• Knowledge of Ofsted and residential childcare regulations
• Confidence leading shifts and supporting staff
• The drive to learn and progress
• Driving License: Full UK required.
