SSEN Distribution is recruiting a Trainee Cable Jointer based in the Aldershot area. This structured, hands-on training programme delivers a nationally recognised qualification while you work, earning and learning over 18–24 months.

You will join a team installing, jointing and repairing cables, gaining exposure to LV and HV networks and field-based duties. The programme includes fully funded training, salary progression linked to skills, tools and PPE provided, overtime opportunities, and

Qualifications

• Hand skills: strip meter tails, use hand tools, fix meters to boards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cables and carry out jointing and terminations.
• Assist on LV and HV networks and participate in installation and repair works.
• Support maintenance and refurbishment of substation equipment.
• Promote safety-first culture while working on-site.
• Deliver excellent customer service during planned and emergency work.
