Job summary

First Bus in Carmarthen is hiring a Trainee Bus Driver. No prior bus driving experience is required, as fully paid training will be provided.

You will earn £14.32 per hour at start, rising to £14.75 after 12 months of qualification, with guaranteed contracted hours and structured rosters. The role involves operating local services, delivering safe and comfortable journeys, and working a 5-day rota including mornings, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for at least 6 months.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points.
• Minimum age of 21.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible approach to shift work.

Responsibilities

• Operate local bus services in Carmarthen and surrounding areas.
• Provide safe, reliable and friendly journeys for passengers.
• Work shifts on a rota basis across mornings, evenings and weekends; schedules provided in advance.
