Job summary

First Cymru Buses Ltd in Carmarthen is looking for a Trainee Bus Driver. No prior bus driving experience is required; a full UK driving licence held for at least 6 months and right to work in the UK are needed. We provide fully paid training to help you become a qualified driver, with guaranteed contracted hours and structured rotas.

Shifts include mornings, evenings and weekends. Starting pay is £14.32 per hour, rising to £14.75 after 12 months.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for at least 6 months.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible approach to shift work.
• No PCV licence required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate local bus services across Carmarthen and surrounding areas.
• Contribute to safe, reliable and professional passenger journeys.
• Shifts rota-based over 5 days including mornings, evenings and weekends.
