Job summary

Arriva is offering a Trainee Bus Driver role at the Blyth depot, with a clear path into a rewarding community-focused career. You’ll undergo full paid training to obtain your PCV licence, followed by mentorship and CPC updates.

The position includes a rotating 5-day timetable, early morning starts, and progression opportunities into management or specialist driving. Benefits include 28–33 days of annual leave (plus pension and gym access),附 ongoing development and a staff-app rewards program,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Have been driving for a minimum of 6 months.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Will need undergo a drug and alcohol test before your assessment.
• Will need to pass an English comprehension test.
• Great people skills.
• Flexibility as shifts can start as early as 4AM and end no later than 1AM.

Responsibilities

• Drive buses and transport passengers safely to destinations.
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service on every journey.
• Assist passengers with boarding and alighting and ensure a smooth journey.
