Job summary

Arriva is hiring at the Durham depot to train you as a Bus Driver. You’ll receive full training to obtain your PCV licence, work with a mentor after the initial training period, and join a supportive team serving local communities.

The role offers shift patterns starting very early and running through the day, with progression opportunities into management or specialist driver paths. Benefits include leave, training and a staff-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Have been driving for a minimum of 6 months.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Will need to pass drug and alcohol tests.
• Will need to pass an English comprehension test.

Responsibilities

• Drive buses on assigned routes following the timetable.
• Provide friendly, safe and reliable passenger service.
• Assist passengers and maintain high customer service standards.
• Comply with safety, traffic and company policies.
