Job summary

Arriva Wakefield is hiring a Trainee Bus Driver to kickstart your public transport career. You'll receive full paid training to obtain your PCV licence at the Arriva Training School, plus mentoring during a short probation.

You’ll serve the local community with friendly customer service on rotating shifts. Earn £13.75–£16.00 per hour with progression, overtime, and benefits including free bus travel for you and your family, pension, and career development into leadership or specialist driving

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Minimum 6 months driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Transport passengers safely to destinations.
• Provide excellent customer service on every journey.
• Work rotating shifts as scheduled.
• Attend training and CPC courses and ongoing development.

As one of our Bus Drivers you’ll provide important services to hospitals and universities across the county.As a Bus Driver, you will get to know the familiar faces on your routes, build relationships and even be the highlight of someone’s day.
