Job summary

Arriva is hiring a Trainee Bus Driver in Milton Keynes. You will start with paid training at Arriva Training School, earn an hourly rate, and progress to solo driving with increased pay and overtime opportunities.

Trainee Bus Driver

£14.50 - £20.19 per hour

Pay Rate: £14.50 - £20.19 per hour

• During Training (the first 4-6 weeks) - £14.50 per hour

After Training:

• Base Rate - £14.50 During Training, rising to £18.35 per hour when you start driving solo
• Overtime: £15.70 during training, rising to £20.19 per hour when you start driving solo

Pay rates reviewed via frequent pay negotiations.

The training generally last approx. 4 weeks with the first 3 to 5 days at our Luton Depot and the remainder at Milton Keynes, followed by a further few weeks with a Mentor.

Hours of Work:

• 5 out of 7 rotating shift patterns, planned up to 6-8 weeks in advance so you can plan around shifts.
• Mornings starting from 04:00, Afternoons start from 12:00 and Evenings from 18:00 on a rotational basis.
• We cannot offer fixed early, afternoon or evenings separately.
• Overtime available at request / availability.
