Job summary

Arriva Midlands North Limited is seeking a Bus Driver at our Telford depot. You will drive PCV buses, helping commuters, families and students get to destinations safely and punctually. You’ll receive extensive training and work with a friendly team in a vibrant community.

Expect full training, ongoing CPC refreshers, and opportunities for progression within Arriva. Shifts are 5 out of 7, with early mornings and late finishes, and benefits include staff travel perks and pension provisions.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years old.
• Minimum 6 months driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Able to pass drug and alcohol tests.
• Excellent people and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings.

Pay Rate

£12.71 - £14.45 per hour. During Training (the first 4-6 weeks) - £12.71 per hour. After training: £13.36 per hour. £14.45 after 6 months service. Pay rates reviewed via frequent pay negotiations.

Hours of Work

5 out of 7 rotating shift patterns, planned up to 6-8 weeks in advance so you can plan around shifts.

Mornings starting from 05:30 and evenings finishing up to 00:10.

Rota consists of a mix of Early, Middle and Late shifts. The main rota currently has 1 in 4 weekends off with every 1 in 6 weeks accommodating a long weekend which consists of Thursday to Sunday off. We cannot offer fixed early, afternoon or evenings separately.

Overtime available at request / availability.
