Job summary

Arriva is seeking a Trainee Bus Driver for the Blyth depot. You will start with full paid training to obtain your PCV licence, then drive a route with a mentor.

The role combines customer service with safe driving across a rotating 5 days in 7 pattern, including early mornings and late evenings. We offer substantial benefits: 28 days annual leave rising to 33, onsite gym, career development, and free bus travel for you and your family.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Have been driving for a minimum of 6 months.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Will need to undergo a drug and alcohol test before your assessment.
• Will need to pass an English comprehension test.
• Great people skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate bus routes ensuring safe, punctual transport for passengers.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist passengers as needed.
• Follow company procedures and safety regulations during every shift.
• Occasionally cover additional shifts as required to support the service.
