Malvern Hills District Council is seeking a Trainee Building Control Surveyor to join the Building Control team. The role involves formal training in plan vetting, site inspections and handling dangerous structures, with mentoring provided as part of a permanent contract.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, customer-focused and committed to delivering high-quality Building Control services across the South Worcestershire partnership. Driving licence and mobility are required.

The South Worcestershire Building Control Partnership is a forward thinking, customer focussed team, providing a Building Control Service dealing with all aspects of Building Regulations, including the examination of full plans/building notice applications, site inspections, dangerous structures, unauthorised and regularisation applications and enforcement duties as and when required. We deal with a wide range of interesting development proposals across south Worcestershire for Malvern Hills District Council, Wychavon District Council and Worcester City Council.
We are currently expanding the team with a new opportunity to join Building Control as a Trainee Building Control Surveyor.
The successful candidate for this role will undertake formal training and mentoring in the full range of Building Control duties including plan vetting, site inspections and dangerous structures. You will have a positive attitude towards the delivery of quality services and contribute to the development of services.
