Malvern Hills and Wychavon District Councils are seeking a Housing Options Advisor to support homeless applicants and deliver statutory housing duties under the Housing Act 1996 Part VII and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
You will empathetically engage with potentially vulnerable clients, prioritise a varied workload, and liaise with agencies to prevent homelessness and provide tailored housing advice.
37 hours per week, Permanent
£31,537 – £35,412 per annum
Wychavon and Malvern Hills District Councils are committed to delivering excellent advice and support services to homeless people approaching the council for housing assistance.
We are looking for a housing professional to join our team who can demonstrate their experience of delivering good quality homelessness advice or services. They would be a key point of contact for those facing homelessness to deliver the Council’s statutory obligations under the Housing Act 1996 Part Vll, and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
The ability to empathise with clients and engage with potentially vulnerable people is essential.
